About the Author

Amy White is a first-time author. She wrote There Is a Zoo in My Basement in 2015. As a child, she enjoyed reading, writing, and singing. She was always writing short stories or making them up in her head. After graduating from high school in 1992, Amy married and began raising a family. While raising her first two children alone because of divorce, Amy pursued a career in business management. Amy remarried in 2010 and gave birth to two more children. It was at this time that she sought to satisfy her creative urges and wrote her first book, which was inspired by her husband’s childhood memories. Amy continues to work full-time in management, raise her two small children, and write in her spare time, hoping to create many more stories full of fun and adventure for children to enjoy.
