About the Book

Joel was tricked into joining an organization he knew little about. At the age of thirteen, he was taken to a school where he would train in martial arts, weapons handling, maintenance, and more. He trains for five years at the school where he also developed unbreakable binds, uneasy alliances, and powerful enemies. Joel must learn how to survive the school and all challenges thrown at him. At the end of each year, there are trials. Each form in the school must participate in their trial ranging from races against others, hiding, protecting, and escaping, but the core of every trial is the same—they must survive. Each year, Joel must make tough decisions that may benefit his friends or make the choices to please his masters. Each choice he makes causes a war to rage inside his body, leaving Joel disconnected from the rest of the world and sometimes himself. His years at the training school require both physical and mental strength. Can he make it through the next five years of his life? Or will his body and mind break from the high demands of his masters and friends?

About the Author

Tobias Djekic was born and raised in the Blue Mountains NSW Australia. From a young age he developed a love of stories. Fiction, non-fiction, sci-fi and an extreme love of horror. During the nights he would often create his own stories in his head. Each one just as outrageous as the last. While in high school he tries to write his first book. However, a short while after he scrapped the idea as he felt it was never his own. As time went on his dream of writing became an afterthought as work/study be forefront of his life. With the time he had with friends he quickly learned that there was a darker side to the world than what he thought. Wishing he could help he always tried to do his best but it was never enough. As time changed around him the main thing that remained was the stories in his head. He never had time to write until the middle of 2018. While working he was in an accident and required some time off. Considering this was during his probation period his boss decided to let him go. It came as a shock and Tobias was feeling depressed for a few weeks. After a short time and no luck with finding a new job he decided to write. From the moment he started he didn't rest and always strived to do the best he could.
