About the Book

During their experience as Officers (Ministers) in The Salvation Army, each week George and Grace mailed over 200 newsletters to church members and friends of the Army. About the Author

Georg e Payton , a third generation Salvationist served over 44 years before retiring in 1995. It was then that he and Grace made their retirement home in Ithaca, New York on the Payton homestead where he could enjoy gardening, open spaces, and memories of family summer vacations ‘on the farm’. Now in his 93rd year, he hopes this book will give a glimpse into the life of a pastor, businessman, husband and Dad in the 20th century! ‘Heart to God, Hand to Man’
