About the Author

“When someone you love becomes a memory, the recollection becomes a treasure”… MOM ♥ Ricky Garduno was born in 1976 in Mexico City. When he was 7 years old, he emigrated with his family to the City of Los Angeles, CA. From a young age he showed great talent for drawing. In elementary school he was designated as a gifted child. In 1993, he graduated from Arroyo High School, where he was considered an exceptionally creative student. He continued his studies at Bridges School of Art and that is where he began his successful career in animation. Ricky worked at various studios such as Disney, Warner Brothers, Nickelodeon, Kids WB and Fox Broadcasting. He collaborated in the Art Department for “Food for Thought” (2001), “Swirl” (2003), and “Larceny” (2004). As a storyboard artist, he participated in countless projects… "Mucha Lucha", "The Buzz on Maggie", “Coconut Fred’s Fruit Salad Island”, “Booty Call”, "EL Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera", “Making Friends”, “Shorty McShorts’ Shorts”, "Seth MacFarlane’s Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy", "The Drinky Crow Show" and "Family Guy". He passed away in 2011, in the City of Glendale, CA.
