About the Book

Epiphany is a story set in the fictional home of a great fictional university. The setting is the Midwest and it is real. At least, depending upon who you ask.

It is the general opinion that there is no better land than is to be found in Michigami. I do not feel as if I should willingly return either to Ohio, New York or Connecticut to live. It is so much pleasanter here.

I find great happiness too in this new land as I am accompanied by my beloved husband John Morgan who though I may have a blush in my cheeks in saying such to you is a very fine man and a wonderful companion and husband.

We have word that John Allen and his wife will soon be joining us in this untamed land. Word also comes to us that John’s wife Elizabeth is heavy with child. I can only pray that Elizabeth and her  as yet unborn child will be well and survive the hardships of travel to this rough land.

John’s good friend Elisha Rumsey is also with us until such time as we can arrange suitable accommodations for all concerned. Elisha tells us that his wife Mary Ann has stayed behind not being sure that she wishes to settle in such rough and uncharted lands as have here.

About the Author

The author was born and raised in Michigan within spitting distance of one of the Great Lakes. When the time came to go forth into the Real World, he spent over half of his adult life in the San Francisco Bay Area as that was the only place there was a body of water large enough to simulate the Lake.
