About the Book

Events for this story take place on a cattle ranch located on the plains of North Dakota. The main characters in this story are Gramps, Grams, Chozey, (their grandson) and “the bull”. Chozey was visiting for the night when, what was considered to be a normal evening, turned into quite an eventful one. The Bull in the Basement is a true story about a rescue operation that took place for one of Gramp’s bulls. The bull happened to wander into an old abandoned farmhouse, which is located in a nearby pasture. Somehow, the bull proceeds to find the basement steps in the house, and falls into the basement. Gramps who is always vigilant about checking his herd, figured out where his bull had gone. He was pretty excited and worried when he got home that night. The story unfolds as Gramps, Grams, and Chozey decide what to do, so they can rescue the bull from the basement. They find reinforcements to help them with their dilemma. Sebastian is the man who has the equipment necessary to save the bull from his demise. Amazingly, it takes a “bulldozer” to do the work to help free the bull from the basement. This story is an adventure that has a happy ending!
