About the Book
Travel through life with two of the most prominent Old Testament prophets, Elijah and Elisha. The problems that they faced are very much like problems that most Of us face on a regular basis. Read and reread the chapter on the "Problem of Despondency" and learn the principles from the prophet about the common cause of and cure for that "Down in the Dumps" outlook on life that is so common among even strong believers today. See how the God, who multiplied food in the New Testament, did it first in the day of the prophet. Read about the law of flotation being overwritten by God's power. Read about the very nature of birds being changed so that they served Elijah. Thrill with The dead being raised and the sick healed. But all of these were problems to be overcome. "Problems of a Prophet" would make a great teacher's manual or study guide for you home Bible group, Women's meeting or men's group.
About the Author
Charles is a retired pastor (if any pastor can truly retire). He served nearly forty years in various churches and ministries. He wrote during his years of pasturing including Christmas dramas and a published hand puppet play. He is active in the ministry of a local church in Naples Florida where He teaches, preaches and sings. He has an active ministry in an assisted living facility. Though purely an amateur, he has written some songs in his retirement. He now has three other books available from Xlibris, Amazon and Barnes and Noble: "Singing in the Bam," "The Shepherd Left Behind," and "Tough Steaks and Tender Gravy." He has worked to be Biblically accurate in his writings, not changing the known truths of Scripture, and only adding color to make the reading enjoyable.
