About the Book

The First Galactic Dynasty, the ongoing saga of Jason Preston, Book Two of Three: Discovering New Worlds, is a continuation of The First Galactic Dynasty: Book One of Three. Jason, having vastly expanded the fortune he inherited, is determined to put that prosperity to use making sure he leaves the world a better place than he found it. He begins with his native country, the United States, which has become politically and corporately corrupted, but believing the only way to fix the present status is from the inside, playing the game by all the rules, good or bad, that the game demands. Working from a position of wealth and power generated by his discovery, invention and endeavors, his first move is to take over the entire banking industry, doing away with interest payments, and redistributing the wealth by reestablishing the middle class through substantial loans to industrious people and ultimately bringing back small businesses and family farms. Then, as Prince of his own island principality, he makes alliances with other nations, establishes more farms and businesses around the globe, and goes a long way toward uniting the entire world. All the while he knows that unity is going to be essential because he is one of a few who know the planet itself is in danger of an interstellar invasion from an alien fleet. Fortunately, being prepared, he shares his corps of engineers and inventors with trusted allies so that when the time comes, Planet Earth is prepared to defend itself. After pursuing the invader to a neighboring solar system already conquered by the invader, Jason, the Prince from Earth, discovers other worlds and new allies, and seeks commerce and cultural exchange. Ahead is the exploration and extended venture of discovering the rest of the Galaxy, a journey that takes them to the opposite end of the Milky Way. That leads to the final adventure that still lies ahead in The First Galactic Dynasty: Book Three of Three: The Journey Home.

About the Author

William Monje has been a professional artist and writer his entire life, particularly working in the theatre, beginning as a set designer/scenic artist and more recently a produced playwright. As a writer he has shorter pieces of fiction and a considerable amount of nonfiction, including writing and editing for what were once referred to as "underground newspapers" back in the late sixties and through the seventies. More recently he has been writing novels of epic proportion, mostly character-driven science fiction with lots of space adventure action. All of his novels have also been formatted for the Kindle and published on Amazon. Although he is most earnestly pursuing novels, with more in progress, he has also written a number of plays for the stage and movie scripts.
